You’re working on the code right? But you’re not real good at it. Here’s a boost. They made a movie about the end of the world (nuclear war) back in 1959 called ON THE BEACH. It starred uh, who was that old guy, Gary Cooper or something. No, wait. Gregory Peck (anyone know the difference now?). Ava Gardner was the leading lady. (Not so hot. It would’ve been a better movie with someone good looking.) Fred Astaire was in it too. He had a Ferrari.
.
So here’s the deal. In the movie there was an odd Morse Code signal that didn’t make any sense so they sent a crew (DFed the signal to San Diego) to see why it didn’t make sense. In the movie, the guy who figures it out then sends Morse Code to explain the situation. Here’s where you come in: YOU CAN COPY THIS! It’s not that hard, even if you don’t know all the letters yet. You know CQ right – Dah di dah dit, dah dah didah. And you’ve started learning the alphabet, A, B, C, etc. Again: YOU CAN COPY THIS!
.
The movie is on YouTube. Whole thing. Hours and hours. The segment with the Morse Code is there too. Starts around 1:35 (1 hour and 35 minutes into the movie). Look it up on YouTube (ON THE BEACH); play the part with the code 2 or 3 times, and learn the secret.
