Outside of town on the Saturday Free Flea in January it was minus 16 or so, but inside the garage with the gas grill going it was above freezing, and at the end of the morning a balmy 75 deg F according to the garage door opener time and temperature display. Neither the twenty dollar large screen TV nor the hundred dollar 20 Amp ASTRON sold, but the triband (including 1200 Mc) COMET vertical did go for $100 (donated by Jay WOENX with proceeds to the club).

Mark GVT bought a roll of Open Wire line, the pro-type copperweld with spacers every 6 inches. Manny IWE bought the COMET d.b. antenna, and Dennis VJL got the old metal case MOTOROLA external speaker and an AM/FM that looked like the old GE or Radio Shack ‘super radio’.

Jay ENX donated a half dozen antennae including some new in unopened box like these first two, dual element 10M Moxon horizontal beams. Also, a 6M 5/8 gain vertical and a couple of VHF-UHF discones. For those who cared to indulge there were cinnamon rolls and STARBUCKS SUMATRA coffee (donated by Kevin KCOKJK).
